The Encontros series was conceived from the grateful invitation to compose the IV Exhibition of Expressions of Gender, from the event Curta O Gender, created by the NGO Fábrica de Imagens, based in Fortaleza - CE.

The symbology carried in our seeds, roots, trunks and leaves is the guiding thread of this series. Encontros addresses three sub-themes, through which each tree tells its stories: Identities, Affections and Feminines. Whether by the sap that springs from their scars, by the rustle of their crowns with the wind, or by the cyclical beginning-end-beginning of seed germination, they bring diverse, precious and singular stories.

I created the illustrations in digital technique, exploring aesthetics without line to enhance the shapes and silhouettes. The palette of each piece refers to the colors of a flag of the feminist and LGBT movements.
