Saluba
"Associated with still waters and the mud of swamps, Nanã is the elder of the Orixás. (...) Lady of life (primordial mud) and death (the dissolution of the physical body into the earth), her symbol is the ibiri, a bundle of palm leaf branches with a curved tip, adorned with cowrie shells. (...) Greeting: Saluba, Nanã! (We take refuge in Nanã)."
